I’m not falling back behind yet! HA!

This morning was..Tuesday. Right? Yes. It was Tuesday. I woke up with my arm asleep above my head. This is a new habit for me and I don’t understand why I do it. I never used to have dead arms waking up! It’s very uncomfortable. -_-

For breakfast I went with Weetabix, plum, toasted cashews, and dried cranberries. Man I love how easy cereal is and how satisfied it makes me. The babies absolutely love it too. They lick my bowl clean.

Stress Melt Down

Friday morning started off bright and early with a yogurt bowl of Chobani Mango 2% Greek yogurt, a cut up plum, raw oats, and almonds and dried cranberries. Not gonna lie…just looking at this makes me want to eat it right now!

I then headed to class to watch half my classmates present their supplement company research projects. Boring. -_-

Focus

Man when I get behind, I get behind!

First off, I wanted to say thank you for all the kind words and thoughts my way. =) I really am doing okay. I think the turning point for me is acknowledging to myself I’m not okay so I can work on making myself okay. Such as getting out of conversations I’m uncomfortable such as talking about dieting, and really trying to focus on just getting through my school work so I can graduate.

Monday’s breakfast was a delicious yogurt bowl of texture. Starbucks Greek honey parfait with a ripe plum and dry almond butter. You know when all the dry parts are stuck to the bottom of the jar? That’s where I’m at right now and I refuse to waste any of it!

I feel pretty pleased with myself today. I took photos of absolutely everything I ate. Lately I’ve been letting nibbles here and there slide and it’s not helping me stay honest with myself.

Raspberry Lemon Goodness

And now we are finally on the correct day! =D Okay I may have stopped working on my big end stage renal disease case study to do this…but ya gotta have priorities right?!

This morning I was very excited to try the new Starbucks Greek yogurt raspberry lemon parfait, but I knew that wouldn’t be enough by itself so I had somewhat of a hodge podge of things. Hard boiled egg, banana and peanut butter, and finished off the Evolution Pineapple Coconut Water.

First off: wow. This parfait is amazing. Tart raspberry plus creamy lemon = perfection. It is a little higher in calories than the other two parfaits though by about 100 kcals. Totally worth it in my opinion.

Almost there!

Monday started with another Greek honey yogurt parfait mixed with banana and a spoonful of almond butter. I also tried sipping some Evolution Pineapple Coconut Water to get my thirst going. I put most of it back in the fridge, though, it did make me want water!

I’m trying really really hard this week to increase my fluid intake. I haven’t been getting enough for a few months now and it’s unacceptable!

Sushi Land

Hm so my Lightroom is just suddenly dead for now. Expect my photos to not look as good (ha!) as normal and I’ll fix it when I have time!

After a night of drinking, I know I want a hot breakfast to help myself feel better. So this time (since I magically didn’t work until 9am) I made sure to get up in time to make one! I made pumpkin Kodiak Cakes with almond butter, maple syrup, and dried cranberries. They completely sucked at staying together! Pumpkin just makes it all too moist. It hit the spot though.

Dead Battery

Happy Monday everyone! I didn’t post a quickie last night because I knew I was gonna get up early to study, and why not use some of that time to be distracted by you lovely people.

My Sunday started off kind of awfully. Seattle got like 3 inches of snow, but that wasn’t the problem. I actually saw plows (very rare here) so I felt like I could drive. The problem was…I’d left my lights on all night so when I got in my car to head to work at 4:45am….it didn’t start! Crap! Who the hell was I gonna find this early in the morning to help me?!

Luckily my co-worker and her husband came and picked me up, and we drove down the hill, covered in eerie abandoned cars and car crashes.

We got to work though and it was a fine morning! On my breakfast break I ate Weetabix with a packet of nuts, dried fruit, and blueberries from our “Classic Oatmeal” along with a Grande orange refresher with black tea instead of water. I also ate an unpictured baggie of raw almonds and dried apricots when I was still hungry.

The 411

Okay guys I gotta make this quick. Here’s what’s going on with me:

  1. Next week is midterms and I haven’t gone anywhere near the level of studying I normally do. I’m kind of worried I may be becoming a “bad” student.
  2. Not only is it midterms next week but my huge important dietetic internship application is also due. The application that decides the next year of my life.
  3. I’m still trying really hard to be the person I want to be and that includes being social. No WONDER I’ve been such a good student all these years without having friends. Friends take time!

So anyway I don’t have time to write up nice interesting posts right now. In fact, I’m debating not posting at all at least until Valentine’s Day when everything is handed in and submitted. That seems like a little long break though so for now I’m going to aim for wordless posts, still sharing what I’m eating.
