So Thursday morning the babies had me up at 6am. They didn’t care that I didn’t have class until 10am. I don’t understand why they couldn’t just bug our guest on the couch instead of me! Is that bad hostess-thinking? =p
Anyway, I got up and made us all breakfast. Green smoothies! Martin had never had a green smoothie so I had to show him the light. Inside was milk, spinach, frozen banana, frozen mango chunks, and coconut oil. Delicious! He thought it was just okay, but this guy is annoyingly under impressed so whatever. =P
Just wanted to start this post with a really great song. Please listen to it. =)
Man, there are days when I am so excited to write a post for you guys, and then there are days that I feel so energy drained that I look at it with dread. =( I’m having one of those days. And it’s not because I don’t have exciting food to share…it’s seriously because I want to be an old lady and crawl into bed before 9am.
Let’s see, this morning I was up way early again. Maybe 7am when I didn’t have class until 10am. I kind of enjoying getting to take my time with breakfast and slowly wake myself up. I should probably work on being more productive with my time though. Time is precious these days.
Anyway I made a delicious green smoothie for breakfast containing Evolution Apple Carrot juice, fresh spinach, frozen mixed berries, frozen banana, and fish oil. I then worked on the computer for a bit before I realized I was still hungry. I really wanted some toasted carby goodness. So I had a slice of toast with peanut butter and fig butter.
Haha of course right after I go on and on about me being able to “do it all” I get way behind. =P
Breakfast of Champions!! Weetabix with banana and trail mix.
I’m not gonna lie. I’ve been feeling somewhat negative about what I’ve been eating since my appetite came back. I feel like it’s more than I actually need. It’s just been kind of this feeling that stays with me through my whole day. I was actually surprised to see that I didn’t eat that much today. There was no reason to feel bad! (Okay so there’s never a reason to feel bad but you know what I mean..)
My morning started way too early on this holiday (Yay Martin Luther King, Jr!). See I’m a really nice person and a co-worker needed to swap a shift so instead of having two full days off in a row I went and worked over an 8 hour shift! The real treat: it was time and a half!! Woot woot.
Anyway so around 5:30am I ate a breakfast of Weetabix, fresh banana, sunflower seed butter, and raisins.
Surprisingly, even after that big delicious dinner club meal, I woke up soo very hungry Saturday morning.
Before heading to work at 4:30am, I ate two graham cracker sandwiches with peanut butter.
So Win and I have both noticed that we are extremely hungry here in Montana. Seriously, is it the cold or just the change in the types of foods we’ve been eating?
Yesterday I had donuts for breakfast one last time. Cinnamon and sugar cake donut, and a nub of the maple bar that was left along with coffee. Totally not what I wanted, but I have no breakfast foods here! As soon as I vowed to hit up the grocery store, a huge box of fresh fruit came as a gift. Well that’s something I can work with…
Thought I’d share a picture of my favorite Christmas present! Chase got me this shirt that says Hello Neighbor, a mash up of Hello Kitty and My Neighbor Totoro! I love it!
This is what I kept having to remind myself this morning because for some reason, I felt very very alone.
Well since I am randomly up an hour early I might as well fill you all in on yesterday! It was my first opening shift at my new job.
Which means I got up before 3:30am!! Since I wanted to start my metabolism I had an orange and some water. I’m not 100% sure I need this but we’ll just see how it goes.
