Hostess with the Mostess?

So Thursday morning the babies had me up at 6am. They didn’t care that I didn’t have class until 10am. I don’t understand why they couldn’t just bug our guest on the couch instead of me! Is that bad hostess-thinking? =p

Anyway, I got up and made us all breakfast. Green smoothies! Martin had never had a green smoothie so I had to show him the light. Inside was milk, spinach, frozen banana, frozen mango chunks, and coconut oil. Delicious! He thought it was just okay, but this guy is annoyingly under impressed so whatever. =P

Starting the Move

I’m sorry I keep doing this day after posting. >.< My nights have been filled with either packing or actually moving. That’s right, we got our keys yesterday so we took a huge load of boxes over so the main things we’ll have the U-Haul for are the big things.

Yesterday started with my daily smoothie (seriously still loving them though I would like more produce to do them with..). This smoothie contained kale, last of the frozen mixed berries, 1/2 cup milk, spoonful of Greek yogurt, squirt of lemon fish oil, and a tbsp of PB2. It wasn’t great. Honestly, I’m not really enjoying any of the kale smoothies. I like my kale cooked!

Since I knew I was going to be at work for 9 hours and probably wouldn’t get my lunch til 1pm, I also ate the very last half of a Costco poppy seed muffin.

I’ve Got a Theory

I’ve got a theory that I’m going to be exhausted at the end of the day for the rest of the quarter. Boy am I tired!

Every morning at 6am. This morning there was no jumping out of bed. Instead my alarm, “The Final Countdown”, invaded my dreams and I awoke very very confused.

I couldn’t even workup the energy to put breakfast in a real bowl today. Instead I dumped 1/2 cup of Quaker Oatmeal Squares, 1/2 a pear, a spoonful of almond butter, and a dash of raisins into the last of low-fat yogurt container. Nom nom.

Someone Up There Hates Me

Sorry this is a day late but yesterday was really rough. I feel like I tell you all that more often than not but seriously, yesterday was mean. I woke up at 5am in pain and hardly able to move. I had tried out one of Chase’s new pillows (you know the ones that have that supportive neck shape) and it had completely put my neck at an odd angle.

I put some heat on it, took some ibuprofen, cried a bit, and managed to fall back asleep for a few hours. I skipped my hospital shift because there was no way I could even lift a food tray with my right arm. My trapezius apparently got it good. Not only could I not move my head to the right but I couldn’t abduct (lift) my right arm either. Let me tell you, showering and trying to put makeup on and do my hair was a joke.

Pretty upset that this should happen to me right before finals, I made myself a bowl of Weetabix with blueberries and TJ’s Nuts About Raspberries Trek Mix. I needed chocolate this morning. Sadly, yet again my favorite trail mix has proven that it tastes best on it’s own!

Busy Busy

I feel like my days just get busier and busier as finals come around! This morning was no exception. In fact, my alarm startled me I was so tired. I couldn’t put together why it was going off.

Breakfast before heading off to the hospital consisted of 1/2 cup of popped amaranth and one Weetabix biscuit topped with blueberries, craisins, and toasted almonds. Sadly, the Weetabix got lost amidst the amaranth. =/ It was a valid attempt at fusing my two favorite cereals together but it was not to be.

Big Check

I have to admit, it was very nice to not go deliver trays at the hospital this morning. I didn’t want to chance getting someone sick so I cancelled. And oh boy was it amazing to wake up, slip on my workout clothes, and go get in my strength training first thing on a Saturday morning!

When I got back in the door I was hungry! Trying to get through my Greek yogurt I dished out a cup and topped it with some thawed frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup raw oats, ground flax, a spoonful of sunflower seed butter, and a pinch of craisins. Honestly, yogurt bowls just aren’t doing it for me anymore! I’m soo into cereal right now. =P This just has so much more protein though!
