With the help of Random.org the winner of the Huckleberry Jam Giveaway has been decided!
Heidi please email me your address and I’ll get this baby in the mail on Monday! Thanks to everyone who entered. =) Very cool hearing about unique fruits.
Now on to yesterday…
I got my butt out of bed first thing and hit the pool for a 60 minute lap swim. I keep having to remind myself that getting in my workout 3 out of 5 days during my period is over half and is nothing to be upset about! Sometimes though it’s really hard for me to get over a missed workout.
Breakfast was the last of the Greek yogurt mixed with a spoonful of peanut butter and local peach jam. Nothing fancy but very tasty and protein packed. ~.^
Since it was Friday, it was Cookie Friday at work! I was so looking forward to this I even brought myself a glass of milk. ^_^ I enjoyed it with the very last of my favorite iced shortbread cookies I’m probably going to have on this trip. Goodbye for another year!
For lunch I met my mom at her house and she served me a little bit of her stuffed zucchini. To be honest, it really needed seasoning so I ended up giving half back to her and eating random other foods instead: Sun Chips, Yoplait yogurt, and half a spinach bagel later at work when I was starving! Thanks for lunch, mom, but honestly you can use some salt! Seriously though, I always love having lunch with her.
Oh body did I have big plans for dinner! Steph and her fiancé, Sam, met me at Bridge Pizza for a smorgasbord! Steph used to work at the Bridge for 6 years so she totally knew how to order. We got large Arugula (goat cheese, roasted pepper, roasted garlic, pine nut and Italian dressing) and Spinach (sun-dried tomato, Gorgonzola, apple, candied walnut and poppy seed dressing) salads, and a half Special (walnuts, tarragon, fresh local peaches and Gorgonzola) half Brooklyn (fresh tomato and basil on red) pizza. Oh yeah and a delicious glass of red wine (can’t remember the type!). It was all super delicious and I tried everything!
I had such a great time talking with Steph and Sam it slightly made me miss living here. There are such good people! Steph even let me take the leftovers home which was so damn sweet. ^_^ Thanks for a great evening!
Due to my lightweight-ness I walked around downtown after we parted ways so that I could drive with a level head. I chatted with my sister on the phone and watched the beautiful sunset. We definitely don’t see big skies like this in Seattle.
Once I got home for some reason I wanted a biscotti with milk, so I ate it. Dinner was so satisfying I’m not really sure why this happened! I’m gonna blame the wine..
Anyway, I can’t believe it’s my last weekend in MT! The time has gone so fast. I hope you all have a great Saturday!
