So my appetite actually showed it’s face today!
Not in the morning…but I still made myself eat this breakfast of Quaker Oatmeal Squares, fresh strawberries, and toasted almonds.

Sorry this is a day late! Chase surprised me by wanting to spend all yesterday evening with me so we finished the whole season 7 of Dexter and nothing else. ^_^ It was nice.
My morning started with a really hot bowl of reheated oatmeal (1/3 cup raw old fashioned oats, 1 tbsp hot cereal mix) with unsweetened applesauce and cinnamon mixed right in. On top I drizzled almond butter and tossed on some raisins. It was certainly tasty but I had some issues with the temperature. It just warmed my body (already overheated from shower + blow dryer) too much. I hate being that sweaty when I’m trying to do my hair and put on makeup. =/ I either need to give myself more time to eat and cool off, thus getting up earlier or not have oatmeal until school’s out and I have time for it!
Sorry this is a day late but Chase and I had a little date night last night and went and saw the new Iron Man movie! It was a lot of fun. =) Here’s how my day went:
I was determined not to let the same thing that happened on Friday, happen yesterday. That meant starting my day with a big substantial breakfast! Kodiak Cakes with a little butter, drizzle of maple syrup, the last of the organic strawberries, and toasted walnuts. Love!
These easily kept me going through my 60 minute hill stationary bike ride. No sickness during or afterward. =)
So my new allergy pills have the side effect of “loss of appetite” which sounds like a good thing right? Well..I’m having issues with it now.
Breakfast for example was a hodge podge of things instead of my usual big hearty meal. I finally got to try a Chobani Flip in Key Lime Crumble flavor, along with a hard boiled egg and an orange. The Flip was tasty and Vinni approved, but a little too sweet. Something decent for when you’re really in the mood for a treat.
After this small breakfast, I hit the gym for a sweaty 60 minute hill stationary bike. I was going to go 30 more minutes to make up for taking Monday off but honestly my body screamed no.

Some days you’ve just got to let go of the control or be dragged. That’s how I’m feeling right now. I also have a lab practical to study for so I’m going to try and make this post quick!

Just pretend that this one and yesterday’s were switched. Victor Hugo is the author of Les Miserables.

My goal today was not to worry. Instead, I would be strong and put my nose to the books and study study! It started with me getting some really good sleep, I love how Theraflu knocks you out, and getting up at the healthy hour of 9am.
I apologize that these posts keep falling behind. =/ It’s going the same way with my studying. I just have no motivation!!! So…let me get yesterday’s post done before I go on to today.

I really need to remind myself just to stay calm.

I really like this quote right now because I think it’s really important to remember. It reminds me that even though I can totally get absorbed in counting calories, tracking, and planning meals it is not the way for me to be happy. I bring this up because in my Physical Activity and Wellness class I need to completely track and input in MyFitnessPal my food for three days. Watching how many calories it says I should be eating and seeing how many I’m eating is starting to make me obsess..but happiness is the journey, not the destination. I cannot live with a calculator telling me what to eat! I’m not a machine.
I’ve got a theory that I’m going to be exhausted at the end of the day for the rest of the quarter. Boy am I tired!
Every morning at 6am. This morning there was no jumping out of bed. Instead my alarm, “The Final Countdown”, invaded my dreams and I awoke very very confused.
I couldn’t even workup the energy to put breakfast in a real bowl today. Instead I dumped 1/2 cup of Quaker Oatmeal Squares, 1/2 a pear, a spoonful of almond butter, and a dash of raisins into the last of low-fat yogurt container. Nom nom.
