This is what I kept having to remind myself this morning because for some reason, I felt very very alone.
Well since I am randomly up an hour early I might as well fill you all in on yesterday! It was my first opening shift at my new job.
Which means I got up before 3:30am!! Since I wanted to start my metabolism I had an orange and some water. I’m not 100% sure I need this but we’ll just see how it goes.
Afternoon everyone! Can I just mention how much I love my new job? Call me crazy but I love getting up before dawn and being done with my work day by noon. It’s just my kind of living. ~.^ Anyways let me fill you in on yesterday.
It started with a half cup of Stonyfield’s Low Fat French Vanilla (totally on a Stonyfield kick again), a half cup Kashi GoLean Crunch, and a handful of Treasure Trove Trail mix. Plus the very last of the orange juice I was forcing down due to being sick. I’d say I’m all better now besides a slight cough and gunk. =D
It felt so great to have a complete day off yesterday. No school, no work, no workout. Just me.
I started by sleeping in until 9am, waking up burritoed by kittens, then making myself a hot breakfast of pumpkin Kodiak Cakes drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with a cranberry and pepita mixture. Mmm I love adding pumpkin to pancake batter. These babies were thin and moist.Yes, it is truly Fall when I start eating all things pumpkin. ~.^
Well, even though I am still on the sick side I’m still working hard!
Yesterday started off with a simple breakfast of a Banana Chobani, Simply Orange Juice, and pills.
It kicked off bright and early with a quick (didn’t give myself enough time) breakfast at work. Spinach Feta Wrap (which are freaking delicious, but tell them to cook it on a 2 setting so they aren’t soggy) and a tall iced Americano with one pump Pumpkin Spice and a splash of half and half. From now on I’m going to be linking the foods I eat at Starbucks so you all can check out the nutritional info easily, to see if it’s something you’d like to try. ^.~ I warn you though that I may be trying some foods that I wouldn’t normally touch if I saw the calorie info on them!! So at least now you’ll have an idea.
Well sorry to disappoint but I was so worried about being late to my first day at Starbucks yesterday that I just grabbed what I already had made in the fridge for breakfast.
That’s right, good ol’ banana overnight oats topped with sunflower seed butter and dried cherries. I’m so over these things I wish I didn’t have two already prepared in my fridge!! I couldn’t even eat this whole jar. I swear “newer” breakfasts are coming soon.
So as I transition from summer to school year and from unemployed to employed, I’m just going to try and get my daily post in whenever I have time! Sorry to not be more organized than that but I don’t wanna leave you guys hanging! That said, not even gonna wait for tomorrow morning to post about today since I have my first Starbucks training shift first thing in the AM!
This morning started off…well almost not in the morning! I slept in until 10am due to going to bed soo late. Probably not the smartest thing to do with school starting next week but hey, it was really fun hanging out with my boyfriend.
Anyway, I again had problems figuring out what to eat for breakfast. In the end I ate the last two French cookies and waited for lunch.
So yesterday was hard. Really hard…and I ate terribly!!
It started with me forcing myself out of bed at 6am for hour long lap swimming as usual. It’ not the swimming part I don’t like but the lack of sleep I’m getting.
A piece of sunshine in my gloomy day was visiting Steph at her Treasure State Doughnuts! I got a maple bar with a cornado espresso. That’s two shots with half and half. ^_^ It was all soo good! I also got to setup a day that I’m gonna come in at 4:30 in the morning and see the whole doughnut making process!
These days just keep feeling shorter and shorter. And I keep not getting enough sleep! =( When my alarm went off this morning, I almost didn’t get up with it. I wanted to sleep. But once I got my butt in the pool I knew I did the right thing. My 60 minute lap swim felt wonderful.
Breakfast later was a slightly warmed English muffin with natural creamy peanut butter and peach jam, along with a big mug o’ milk. This carrying my breakfast to Dave’s is getting interesting! While I ate, I wrote in my ol’ journal. I love being able to read back over the entries years later and still feel the feelings I had when I wrote them.
