Sunday was another mediocre day for me. I managed to sleep in until 8am (after only waking up once), then realized how hungry I was and made breakfast.
I made what I felt like too. Pumpkin Kodiak Cakes drizzled with maple syrup, almond butter, and sprinkled with craisins. The pumpkin always makes these cakes sooo moist. I loved them.
And then after eating I realized just how tired I still was and went back to sleep until noon. Yeah, it was one of those mornings. It didn’t help that it was the darkest and dreariest day we’ve had in a long time.
It felt so great to have a complete day off yesterday. No school, no work, no workout. Just me.
I started by sleeping in until 9am, waking up burritoed by kittens, then making myself a hot breakfast of pumpkin Kodiak Cakes drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with a cranberry and pepita mixture. Mmm I love adding pumpkin to pancake batter. These babies were thin and moist.Yes, it is truly Fall when I start eating all things pumpkin. ~.^
Man did I get behind! I’ve been so constantly busy I haven’t made time to post. >.< Fail. Anyway, let me get you caught up.
Monday (yay holiday) started off lovely.
I made Dave and my mom their very first Kodiak Cakes! They enjoyed them, but I could have made them better. >.< Not thin enough. I topped my three small cakes with three different toppings: huckleberry jam (I’m seriously getting the giveaway going SOON!), peach jam, and Kodiak Cake’s Red Raspberry syrup. I also had the perfect over-easy egg. Man I always forget how much I like eggs until I’m eating one!
Well I survived 4 days of camping and boy do I have a lot to share with you all! I hope I can do it justice.
Wednesday – July 3rd
July 3rd was pretty darn special to me because for the first time in about two months I felt hungry! Seriously, I woke up bright and early, got dressed, then had this loud growl come from my tummy and, at the same time(!), had a sudden appetite. It was a wonderful feeling to rely on my body’s cue’s again. No more Claritin D!!
Phew! I finished my last day at the food bank before my vacation starts! Such tiring work.
I started this morning off with a delicious breakfast after having a really horrible dream. =/ Why can’t people who are no longer in your life stay out of your dreams??? Anyway breakfast was delicious Kodiak Cakes topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, sunflower seed butter, and fresh raspberries. Yes the nut butter totally masked the scrumptious taste of the pancakes but sunflower seed butter is just worth it.
Along with my meal I had my very last caramel drizzle latte. I am now out of caramel! :O I may just have to try using the flavored liquid stevia I’ve been ignoring for over a year now. I think the aftertaste is what ruins it for me…
Hi guys! It’s officially summer for me!! =D And boy did I celebrate.
First I slept in until 8am (two whole hours!) then made myself a scrumptious breakfast of blueberry Kodiak Cakes with maple syrup and almond butter. ^_^
I had big plans to fit my workout in and do a lot more biochem cramming but my morning didn’t exactly go that way. It’s that time of the month and my stomach had that awful “sick but not sick due to any reason you have control of” feeling so I ended up laying down for another 40 minutes after breakfast.
