Same as Yesterday

Quick post because I’ve been spending my evening with Chase and not getting some stuff I need for school done!

Breakfast: Exact same as yesterday! Weetabix, banana, toasted almonds, craisins. I swear I’m going to get back to oatmeal soon but the ice cold milk feels so good on my scratchy allergy throat in the morning.

Monday, Monday

Yay another Monday over with. I am just counting down the weeks until school is out. I’m so ready to be done and have a break from all this go-go-go!

Breakfast was Weetabix, banana, raisins, and toasted almonds. Man I love Weetabix. Seriously, this company needs to make it’s American presence known better! It’s totally a hidden gem.

She Sleeps

So I got 10 hours of sleep last night by going to bed at 8pm. Yeah..I got up after eating dinner and watching a little TV to force myself to put my workout clothes on…and fell into bed instead. I'm 100% blaming my allergies and allergy medication. I just looked at the side effects this morning and went “Oh wow. So that's what's wrong with me!”

Anyway sorry this post is a day late!

Breakfast was good ol' Weetabix, fresh organic strawberries, toasted walnuts, and craisins. It felt so good on my itchy and dry throat.

Eat until Satisfied

Oh boy. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I may have had way too much to drink last night. >.< Due to this rare over consumption, I stayed in bed with the babies until noon.

Still not feeling great but knowing I’d wasted enough of my day, I got out of bed and prepared an easy breakfast of lowfat yogurt, spoonful of crunchy peanut butter, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, 1/2 banana, and craisins. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy this bowl so about 2/3rds of the way through it I just stopped. Why eat it if you don’t love it right?

Last Day

Well sadly I leave sunny San Diego for Seattle tomorrow, so today was pretty much my last day of vacation fun.

It started with one last 60 minute hot yoga class. It was so perfect having this one week trial pass! The class was packed, hot, and sweaty. There were so many moments that I thought about giving up and just laying there but somehow I made it all the way to the end! Phew! I may look into hot yoga back in Seattle. My favorite sister has even hooked me up with two rockin' yoga tops.

Snorkeling Day

You will not believe what I did today. I went snorkeling. IN THE OCEAN! This is a big deal for me. I grew up watching Jaws and having a phobia of being in large bodies of water because of it. Seriously, I would get panic attacks in a lake. Never in my life did I think I'd ever actually go in to the ocean.

It was an amazing experience. At first going in and trying to breath through the snorkel freaked me out a bit. But once I got the hang of it it was so fun! I love floating with the waves, staring at the sea bed looking for wildlife.

We ended up only seeing one tiny leopard shark but, honestly, that was enough shark for me. We also saw some rays and other fish which were super cool! We swam for about an hour and a half and then we realized how freaking cold we were!! We got out to lay in the sun for a bit to warm up but our wet suits kept us pretty cold still. I couldn't stop shaking and my hands were blue so we decided to call it a day.

Anyways I sadly do not have any photos of Win and I's snorkeling adventure in La Jolla. We bought an underwater camera but since it's a disposable we're going to have to take it in to be developed! I promise to share them with you all as soon as I have them though.

So instead of (hopefully) amazing underwater shots I give you photos of food! I had a big bowl of Coach's oats for breakfast with a banana and peanut butter mixed in. Yay oatmeal! I've forgotten how much I love this stuff. Sorry Weetabix, but you're gonna have to share me.

Fashion Day

Gah! I've been so busy it's been really hard to find time to blog! Forgive me!

Yesterday started off on the right foot with a banana before heading off to do an hour of hot yoga. There were a few poses I couldn't do because of my foot, but in general I think it was really good on my hurting body and got me to sweat buckets. On the walk home I grabbed a doppio ristretto with 2″ hot water, 1 raw sugar, and a splash of half and half to refuel.

Interesting thing about Starbucks in SoCal…they seem to think it's okay to take all day making espresso! Seriously, I've never seen a slower Starbucks before. Seems like they don't know how to drink sequence or anything…Win thinks it's due to the laid back attitude everyone has here. It's freaking nuts.
