Sadly, I’m gonna have to say this has been the worst Winter Solstice ever. =/ I thought this old picture (I think I’m 2-3 years old) summed up how I felt.
Yeah. Not great. It started with me wanting to go get in a workout but finding the whole right side of my body (especially my butt) were super sore and stiff. It hurt to walk. It felt like I’d fallen hard on that side…but I don’t remember doing that at all! Anyway, getting in a good sweat was out.
So people who know my sleep schedule may not believe this but..I love sleep. Seriously! I especially love it when I can get more than 6 hours. <3 And last night I did!
Once I finally got up (after hurling the baby from the bed many times…I don’t know what her new problem is. There is food in her bowl and she still pesters me!), I was hungry for breakfast. I bet you are all getting tired of seeing overnight oats but they are seriously my favorite thing. These were overnight oats with a cut-up pluot mixed in and topped with sunflower seed butter, dried cherries, and toasted walnuts.
I just wanted to start this post off with saying happy birthday to my favorite little cousin, Raiden, who turned one year old today! He’s had a very rough first year being born three months early and with a twin sister who did not survive.
Check out how cute this little guy is though. I can’t wait to see him tomorrow!
So I thought getting to sleep in until 5am today would make a big difference. Turns out it didn’t! I am soo tired.
Breakfast was reheated oatmeal topped with a scoop of Cookie Butter, butterscotch chips, and dried cherries.Turns out I’m not a big butterscotch fan and I noticed that these chips have partially hydrogenated oils in them. >.< I should have read the bag instead of looking at the sale sign. Noob mistake! Still, it filled me up.
Today was pretty much my Saturday since I finally had a day off from both jobs and I work tomorrow. I embraced this and did absolutely nothing.
I still got up with my alarm at 8:30 and had the very last leftover pancake with light whipped butter and maple syrup. As good as these were, I’m totally ready to have something else for breakfast now!
Phew. Today was a long long day. I’m still trying to relax but my head hurts so much. Due to working all day long, I’ve moved my treadmill run to tomorrow. -_- I am that beat!
My day started at 7am with a simple bowl of Annie’s Chocolate and Vanilla Bunnies, ground flax, banana, and skim milk. It wasn’t really what I was feeling like, but I ate it all the same.
I then drove 15 minutes by myself(!) on the 405 to Bellevue for my “working” interview! I arrived with plenty of time. I was really worried traffic would be crazy. Next I worked and worked until about 1pm when I was told I could take my only 30 minute lunch. T.T I couldn’t go anywhere with only 30 minutes!
I hope you all are as excited about National Nutrition Month as I am! I can’t wait to justify buying some different kinds of fruits and veggies that I’ve never tasted! ^_^ I think the most obscure produce I’ve had is..goya or gooseberries. Both were quite sour!
Speaking of sour, my day started off like that. >.< I had a date to chat with my best friend, Ashton, on Skype this morning but I woke up and found our internet was out. Curse you internet Gods! I was really looking forward to getting in some girl-chat, but alas we had to reschedule for tomorrow.
