Ever have one of those mornings where you have big plans to get up at 6am and hit the gym but when your alarm goes off your whole body and soul screams “HELL NO!”? I did today. I reset my alarm and passed out for another hour and a half. Damn did I need it. I Note to self: next time more relaxing vacation!
Since grocery day is coming, we have very few options in the fridge right now. Breakfast was a toasted English muffin with Dark Chocolate Dreams PB and raspberry jam and a hard boiled egg. Sadly, I didn’t have any milk to wash it down so it felt like half a meal.
We made it safely back to the Seattle area about an hour ago. It was a long day and we’re glad it’s over! It also feels nice to be back home.
The day started nice and early with us packing up the car and realizing we didn’t have everything we needed to take my bike on our new bike rack. >.< Stupid girl bikes with their curved bar. Deciding we’d get it when we come back in August, we hit up Paul’s Pancake Parlor for breakfast.
I started off with a cup of joe with cream and honey. I’m really working on drinking it through a straw since I noticed my teeth are getting a bad coffee stain! (On the lookout for teeth whitening. Do you use a kit or pay a professional?)
Yesterday was absolutely perfect.
It started with a delectable yet very rare breakfast of almond butter pastry and fresh strawberries with a glass of skim milk. Delicious!
Wow. It has been an extremely busy last couple of days!! I’m sorry that I have had absolutely no time nor energy to blog, but let’s get you caught up on my vacation back to Montana!
We all were ready for vacation come Wednesday morning.
I had a darn pleasant day today. It’s always nice to have one of those. ^_^
I woke up with the determination to get my workout in. But first…breakfast! Kashi 7 Grain Puffs + Cinnamon Life + skim milk + raspberries. Gobbled down and then I booked it to the gym for a 60 minute hill stationary bike. I love starting my day with sweat and reading!
My eating felt really strange today. o.O Not necessarily bad, but different.
It started with a breakfast at 5am of whole wheat toast ends (Chase won’t eat those!) topped with sunflower seed butter and raspberry jam, plus a hard boiled egg. Trying to use up food before my vacation!
Well I had a horrible start to my birthday. >.< I woke up at midnight with a UTI. Yep. Luckily I had some old medicine in my cabinet so after laying in bed for a few hours, was able to get back to sleep. I probably only got about 4 hours of sleep last night though.
Which hurts when you have to get up at 4am! Breakfast was an awful photo of the last of the Greek yogurt, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, chia, sunflower seed butter, raspberries, and golden raisins. With a little POM cherry juice for some antioxidants.
It’s my birthday again and I am another year older. I feel like this past year I’ve gone through a lot of changes so today seemed like as good a day as any to reflect on it.
First off I’d like to say Happy Birthday, Mom! That’s right, it’s my mother’s birthday today and only the second time in my whole life I’ve been without her for it. I hope she had a great day enjoying the arts and, hopefully, good food too! I can’t wait to celebrate it with her later this week.
I woke up after a heavy sleep to make myself a hot hearty bowl of blueberry oats topped with Dark Chocolate PB, golden raisins, and walnuts. I don’t think I’ll ever get completely tired of oatmeal. It’s just too comforting.
