Summer Movie Night

Today was another great day to just enjoy the fact that it is summer and that it is the(my) weekend. ^_^

I woke up with a baby snuggled to my side and then we both got up for breakfast. I made plain oats (1/3 cup raw oats, 1 tbsp brown rice farina, 1 tsp ground flax) and topped it with a 1/4 cup baggie of Treasure Trove Trail Mix and fresh raspberries. The toppings really gave it some wonderful flavor. I think this is a safer way for me to enjoy my biggest trigger food. ^_^ Also enjoyed my morning iced coffee with vanilla creamer.

The entire morning was spent spending time with Chase playing Diablo III and just having a good relaxing time.

By 1pm though, I demanded a lunch break! I was soo famished I quickly fried up three pieces of “bacon” to eat while I slowly cooked the rest of my food. It’s funny how much I am loving this “bacon” suddenly.

My main meal was penne pasta topped with veggies cooked in Safeway Select’s Sun Dried Tomato and Olive red sauce (which I got for free!). It was decent but I plated way too much. Couldn’t finish my bowl! I made sure to eat all the veggies though.

Before heading to the gym around 4pm, I snacked on Quaker Oatmeal Squares, dark chocolate morsels, dried cherries, and skim milk. <3 My sweet tooth needed satisfying. I then surprised myself with a 30 minute treadmill interval workout . My legs were so sore that I didn’t think I was going to be able to do it, but I just kept picking my feet up and finished strong.

I’m so glad I ate my veggies at lunch because dinner was…well junk. Chase and I went and saw the much anticipated Ridley Scott movie, Prometheus.

And decided to make a dinner of snack food. >.<

I had movie popcorn (no butter), a few Cool Ranch Doritos, these mini Rolo’s, a few mini Reese’s, and some Mr. Pibb soda. Yeah complete rubbish! It was somewhat fun to just eat junk but I don’t see myself doing it again. I found myself craving real food!

The movie was decent and I’m glad we saw it on the big screen, however it left too many questions for me. I hate how movies now days always end with letting the audience know that there’s going to be a sequel…Just finish this damn movie before you start thinking about another one!

Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Seen any good movies in theaters lately?
