I am so ready for vacation! In fact, I’m sitting in Sea-Tac airport with Chase right now. =) Just going to get this blog post off before we go up in the air!
I woke up feeling pretty groggy this morning but I still went right to work getting in a 10 Minute Daily Arm Workout App. It was hard but felt so good!
For breakfast I wanted to use up the unsweetened applesauce I’ve had in the fridge for awhile now and oats finally sounded okay to eat again. ~.^ So I made applesauce oatmeal with 1 tbsp brown sugar mixed in and topped with toasted pecans.
Before heading into work, I grabbed a tall iced coffee with one pump sweetener and my homemade pecan cinnamon creamer. Can I just say that this creamer is even better after you let it sit for awhile? This was seriously the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. I’m definitely sticking to making my own creamers.
My lunch was very visually unappealing…but it did the trick! Again, clearing out the fridge before vacation. Hard boiled egg, the very last of my broccoli and blue cheese soup, and a ripe peach!
There’s one blog I’ve read for years that has been really bugging me lately. The woman just eats like a bird and exercises like it’s her job. I don’t find it motivating because it’s no wonder she can stay so thin. Her life (diet and exercise), to me, isn’t very realistic for the rest of us.
I wanted to make sure I captured everything I ate today so you can all see that I’m not perfect but a real human being and not some crazy birdish maniac! I ate a mini crunch bar from the chocolate drawer at work and later snacked on my mini Cranberry and Almond Kind bar. This may have been my least favorite of the flavors I got. the cranberries with the honey was just over the top sweet!
Once Chase and I got to the airport and got through security it was about 6:30pm and I was starving for dinner! Oddly enough, there aren’t a lot of healthy vegetarian options at Sea-Tac. After checking two different terminals, I gave up my pursuit if picky eating and settled on a tofu fried rice bowl. Yes, fried rice. But it was the only thing I could find that also had vegetables in it! It was very mediocre and I was sorry to say they managed to screw up rice but I ate the whole thing knowing this was it.
For dessert I brought Chase and I both baggies of TJ’s Nuts About Raspberries Trail Mix and a plethora of berries! Cherries, raspberries, and blueberries for nibbling on our flight to Ontario, CA. ^_^
I hope you all are having a great weekend! I will try to keep you posted on our adventures in California.
