Yay! I officially don’t work at Starbucks for an entire week! (Actually my manager tried to make me come in tomorrow, but I said too bad so sad.) It feels so good to know I won’t be getting up at 4am anytime soon.
This morning though, I hobbled out at that ungodly hour to shower and then make some breakfast. Yeah you should pretty much get used to seeing yogurt messes for the rest of the summer, especially on my early morning shifts. They are just so yummy and easy.
Speaking of yummy, I’ve decided to retire the whole nut-free-days thing. I proved to myself I can do it and now I feel like I’m just filling the spot of what would be good fat and protein with sugar.
So with that in mind, I had Greek yogurt topped with: ground flax, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, blueberries, raspberries, golden raisins, and a glob of almond butter. Yumo!
Work today sucked the big one since we were short a person.
I still managed to fit in a quick break and I found my drink. My coffee drink that is.
Doppio Espresso with a splash of hot water (to save the shots) and 2 pumps Classic!
Delicious and just the jolt I need to be peppy and happy! I enjoyed my new found drink with a mini Kind Fruit and Nut bar. Delicious but I enjoyed the Coconut & Almond more.
When I made it home a little after noon (I really tried to get Chase to pick me up since it was windy and raining hard but his phone was dead), I was starving! I quickly made lunch: toasted Double Fiber bread broiled with semi-caramelized leeks and mozzarella, side of cherries, and a chocolate chunk vanilla Chobani.
The toast wasn’t as good as it had been on an English muffin, the cherries were super yum (only $2.99/lb at Safeway!), and I didn’t end up eating the yogurt (until right now for dessert).

Now I see why I was absolutely famished after stationary hill biking for 1.5 hours! Seriously, I got so dizzy and faint I walked in the door and went straight to the fridge for a hard boiled egg. I followed this with handfuls of Quaker Oatmeal Squares and a small cup of Nesquick milk.
That was a pitiful lunch on my part and that much exercise afterwards definitely put me in the danger zone. Lesson learned!
Yesterday’s dinner was soo delicious I decided to make it again. Pasta topped with Dave’s Gourmet Butternut Squash sauce (the very last of it! T.T), meatless meatballs, and leeks.
Then Chase and I were off to Bellevue for my complimentary haircut at the fanciest salon I’ve ever stepped foot in. Seriously. They offered me espresso before they began. O.O
I know some of you may be thinking “Well show us the damn haircut!” and I promise I will. But at the moment I’m in that wow-I’m-not-sure-if-I-like-it phase. I need to play with it myself. I will say that it is very different from anything I’ve ever gotten before.
What do you do when you’re not sure if you like your new haircut?
I haven’t cut my hair in about 3 years now! But when I used to get a new haircut and I had doubts about the finished look I just put it up on a ponytail even if I had to use like 20 bobby pins haha. I’m sure your new hair cut looks amazing though
Where do you get the double fiber bread?
Rita, the double fiber bread is Safeway’s Open Nature brand. Here is the nutritional info! http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/open-nature/double-fiber-bread
